Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Thankful (two)

Baby it’s cold outside!
This dog and I have true grit though, still going out on our regular jogs each day and our weekly prairie hike each Saturday.

My mom was taking note of how active I have been lately and she reminding me of how sick I was when Baby Boy was, well, a baby and how little strength I had only last year. I have come a long way baby! So thankful that this year I can be out in this weather, hiking and sledding and skating and cross country skiing and hopefully snowshoeing this year too. I have become very enthusiastic about outdoor time. I really think it is largely because of how hard the last few years have been with my poor health and how very happy I am to not feel like that anymore. Thank you Lord for strength. A Mama needs a serious good dose of it that is for sure!

P.S. A little under a year ago I put up a post that was full of hope for such a time in life. Kids are getting older, I am getting physically stronger. This year has brought what I hoped for back then, to read that related article CLICK HERE.

Your zeal to be active in the cold is definitely inspiring! I hope once my kids are a bit bigger, it will be more play and less work to get everyone outside. For now I think I’ll keep on hibernating as much as I can 🙂

  2. Kim, I have no idea if you will come back and read this comment but I was looking through archives and this post is totally in thanks for a fulfilled desire I had about last year. I linked it on the post now so you can easily click to it.I terestingly enough it was you who commented on that post too.

Your time of life, pregnancy and little little kiddos, is where I was not so long ago and it really is pretty much impossible to feel physically strong then, or at least I felt that way.

Anyhow, just so you know, once you decide you are done the baby stage there are good things about the next stage! As much as I really miss babies I am looking with thankfulness at where I am (as I would encourage everyone to do)and a big plus is how things can look up for us moms physically! Feeling physically strong again has been such a blessing for me. I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel… the tunnel of constant sleep deprivation and recovery from pregnancies!

I appreciate you and your comments and looking back and seeing your comment then was a perfect example of that for me:)

Considerate and polite comments are always welcomed.
